Anvil server running in Google Colab for more than 12 hours?

Hey there!

I have a problem using Anvil server in google colab, as I use command anvil.server.wait_forever (), but as you know the absolute time of continuous work of google colab is 12 hours so after that time, the server just stops working… Some way to solve the above!?

have a look at deepnote - it might help with this specific problem with google colab

Have you seen Deepnote? Seriously impressive - it’s an online Jupyter-style notebook, but with Google Docs-style collaboration and a much slicker interface! What’s more, they keep your notebooks running in the cloud continuously (even on their free plan!) - which means you can use a Deepnote notebook as the back end of an Anvil app! So of course, I had to make a walkthrough:

I second Deepnote. They offer a continuously running project for 750 hours per month. But that basically means you won’t be able to do anything else with the account.

The servers aren’t incredibly powerful though, so obviously not good for high compute needs.
