The “Use as custom component” button is hidden on the top of the editor. Until last week it was rarely used, so it did make sense for it to be hidden, but now, with the new awesome designer, I would like to move it to the right panel, right under Properties, for the following reasons:
- Now that we finally have the
in_designervariable, custom components will be much, much, I mean much more used - Clicking that button opens the Custom Component Configuration dialog which really belongs into the right panel
- When working on a custom component I keep clicking on that button and opening the Custom Component Configuration dialog again and again. Having it open without requiring to click again and again on the button would be a smother experience.
