📣 July AUG: Making Pretty Apps (July 29th)

Hello everyone!

After last month’s big AI announcement, here comes the July Anvil User Group!

The theme for this one is Making Pretty Apps with Anvil, and we would like to call for your participation! While we will be sharing some tips ourselves, we would primarily like to see how you all manage to make such good looking apps.

If you would be willing to show one of your apps for around 1 to 5 minutes, please send an email our way at contact@anvil.works!

Have something to present?

Have you done something cool with Anvil that you’d like to share? Do you have some tips and tricks that would help other Anvil users? The community would love to hear from you!

Please drop us a line at contact@anvil.works and let us know what you’d like to speak about. We’ve got slots for more in-depth presentations (up to 20 minutes) and shorter (5-10 minutes), so don’t be shy!

Hello everyone! As a reminder, this is today, at 4:00 PM BST! If you would like to attend and have not registered yet, please do so here, and you will receive an email with the meeting link.

Thanks everyone who came along today – that was a great session, and good to see so many people there.

Special thanks to our presenters:

  • @brooke (who is, to my knowledge, still alive), who presented on @alex.wilber’s behalf (no link, because the shiny new homepage isn’t quiiite published)
  • @davidtopf2, showing us the inside of AnkiBuddy (extremely cool, very powerful, nice and slick)
  • @divyeshlakhotia, who showed us geeke.app, his extremely full-featured social-focused reading app
  • @thomas.campbell1, who showed us around a nice whimsical mobile app, for playing Jet Lag’s Hide-And-Seek game across London (and if you’re a transit nerd and haven’t seen any Jet Lag yet, I recommend it!)
  • @APDW and Diva for showing us Lokahi, an extremely fleshed-out marketplace for holistic practitioners

Today’s recording will be sent out in a couple of days to everyone who has registered – if you weren’t here, it is very much worth a watch!

As always, if you can think of something we should feature in an Anvil User Group meeting (whether it’s yours or someone else’s), please do drop us a line.
