Introducing the Production Plan

When a production app supports important business activities, there are some requirements that often come along with that: More capacity to serve increased demand; predictable performance; and – often most important of all – guaranteed support from our team.

Up til now, we’ve been handling this with a patchwork of ESR, support plans and service levels. So today, we’re simplifying these offerings into:

The Production Plan

The Production plan is the next step up from the Business plan. It includes:

  • Private email support from Anvil: Get help directly from our team with an email to support@anvil.works – we’ll reply within one business day.

  • High-performance server, with reserved computing power for your Server Modules and Data Tables

  • Direct SQL Access: Run SQL queries directly against your Data Tables

  • Unlimited capacity upgrades at cost price: Every Production plan includes two CPU cores, 4GB of RAM and 50GB of backed-up storage for your server code and Data Tables. But you can also specify your own compute instance: Order up any combination of cores, RAM and storage available in AWS London, and we’ll provide it at cost price with no markup from us.

Pricing

The Production plan costs $1320 per month, plus $275/month per developer if you’re paying month-to-month. If you pay annually, that’s reduced to $1200 per month plus $250 per developer.

The Production plan replaces our old Extra Server Resources and Support add-ons. (For comparison, an customer with ESR and standard email support would previously have been paying $1965/month, so this is a substantial saving.) As usual, we’re not forcing anyone to switch from their existing plan.

Production Plan vs Enterprise

The Production plan is a public cloud-hosted plan: It’s runs in our public cloud instance at anvil.works. And although there is reserved compute for your Server Modules and Data Tables, you’re relying on shared infrastructure, API gateways, bookkeeping, etc.

If what you want is an entirely private, single-tenant instance of Anvil, managed by us in the cloud or on-prem by your team, we can do that too – ask us about Anvil Enterprise!
