Does someone have experience connecting multiple smart hubs to one central hub or server? I am thinking that the smart hub or server will expose its data so I can build a ui using anvil.
Let’s say I have 3 buildings and I want to monitor the power consumption in each building using a smart energy meter and a zigbee or zwave hub. Let’s also say that each hub have internet access and/or even better, are connected on the same LAN.
It it possible for these hubs to expose its data to one central hub on the LAN or in the cloud?
I know that a lorawan network solves this but I’m interested if there are a solution using smart hubs
I don’t have any experience of smart hubs, but I’ve used a Crossbar router to do something similar.
I have several devices which talk to the router, each exposing functions which the router can call. One of those devices also runs anvil’s uplink and then I have an anvil front end to whole setup.
I also have no experience doing smart hubs, but I know there are zigbee modules, and zigbee hats that can be added to all sorts of small boards like the pico w, or raspberry pi that can run uplink.
But if you were purchasing additional modules and microcomputers, you might as well just do LoRaWAN like you said.
Maybe they could all talk to one raspberry pi pico W with a LoRa module, that runs uplink?
