A Tool To Help Attendees Connect After Events šŸ”—

Hi everyone,

Excited to share that I have just finished a MVP for a tool I have been wanting to create for a few years now.

Itā€™s a tool to that makes it easier to connect with people who attended the same event.

But it can also be used for communities that want an easy way to exchange contact details of their members.

The steps are as following:
ā€¢ā  ā The organizer shares a group link.
ā€¢ā  ā Participants click and join the group.
ā€¢ā  ā Participants add their socials/links, which are shared automatically.
ā€¢ā  ā Participants easily find each other and each otherā€™s socials/links/websites.

Key Anvil Features:

I still want to do some changes to the design, but wanted to validate my business idea first.

I am still looking for some beta testers if anyone wants to give it a try for free. You can ignore the pricing page, and just sign up in the app.

Great work :+1: and I really liked your landing page, it was super clean!! I am happy to try out the anvil app as well :slight_smile:

I do have some feedback:

  • Signup seemed to work but signin did not work for me. So I tried to reset password link but I have not received any email.
  • On mobile, the form seem to be wider then the screen. Meaning I get horizontal scroll bars. I expected the form to be as wide as the screen :slight_smile:
  • On mobile, when I click on the textbox to enter full name I get a message saying Critical Error. Refresh page etc etc. (btw, I got a anvil script error on my own apps where I use textbox, so perhaps itā€™s a anvil issue).
  • On mobile, if I ā€œrubberbandā€ and/or scrolling down the form header gets a greenish color for some moments. From what I can remember I did experience similar feature in the M2 theme. This is ofc a very small detail :slight_smile:

  • Activation mail not being received

I heard someone else mention that it takes a bit of time to receive the mail. Did you receive it in the meantime? If not, no problem. I have manually confirmed your email.

I am going to connect the mailing to my own Mail Server and see if that solves the problem

  • Mobile - Form wider than screen

Iā€™ll have to look into this one.

  • Mobile - Critical Error for text box full name

The logs in Anvil only show ā€œ: Unknown errorā€. So not sure what is going wrong there.

  • Mobile - Rubberband green color

Haha didnā€™t know that word was used for that interaction. I think it has to do with the meta tag: theme-color. But Iā€™ll try to replicate your issue.
