I know I know I hate to be that guy … but I think the killer USP of anvil is the all python extremely fast development, deployment and iteration of apps.
I’ve used Claude for some elements of making apps recently and the speed boost is insane, I’m thinking if it had context of the whole app codebase it would be even faster to get apps out…
Anyone know if this is looking likely?
I would guess its probably not likely in the short term, because the Anvil team would have to do a lot of work for Claude to understand it’s YAML Design structure (at least I presume that would involve a lot of training – ChatGPT creates nonsensical YAML when i ask it to make me a UI).
And if that’s not the case, you can always download your repo and use Claude in your IDE Locally:
That calculus could change if a lot of people upvoted this though.
