What exactly are we able to do during the free trial period that is not available to free plans after the trial?
I signed up after hearing the Talk Python interview. I was excited to see the 30 day free trial of the individual pro plan. It seems I should not have been. I have a banner telling me I am in my trial, but every time I try to do anything I get messages about that only being allowed in the paid plan. I can’t switch to python 3 or even import something as basic as requests.
Hi there, and welcome to the forum!
The short answer is that the features that are automatically available to free users are the ones that don’t cost us a lot of resources to provide. The free trial does get automatic access to features such as the Users service and the Uplink - but in particular, the extra sandboxing required for a full CPython instance (required for Python 3 support, or using modules such as requests) requires enough extra resources that we have to turn it on manually for people. If you’re seriously considering using Anvil, and want to try out a full CPython instance, please do get in touch with us at contact@anvil.works.
