Weird commits when syncing with GitHub

Ever since I have pushed my app to a public GitHub repo, I have been getting a lot of commits that look like this. While I’m editing, commits get generated that look like they’re further ahead compared to the ‘commit’ I’m working on.

They usually disappear after a few minutes and my Git history looks normal again.
