Version control - out of sync with origin

What I’m trying to do:
I cloned my app to my git on my PC so I could run an analysis tool on the source code. When I go back to Anvil editor I get a message ‘out of sync with origin’ and panel presenting a list of options.
What I’ve tried and what’s not working:
I have tried removing git tracking on my local git and out of the options presented when I open the Anvil editor I have selected ‘Rest Master branch to remote’ but nothing happens. I still see ‘out of sync with origin’ message in Version History.
Code Sample:

Resetting to remote always resolves this for me…

Sounds like a bug for sure unless someone is constantly making changes on remote whilst also making tweaks on anvil editor.

My misunderstanding of how Anvil GIT works. Solved by Ian in Anvil support who wrote: -

“Anvil apps are always stored and served from the built-in Anvil git repository. Connecting to github is entirely optional, and just provides a secondary place for Anvil to push your code to. You can always entirely safely remove the git remotes from your app, including Github.”

I simply removed the GIT Remote - problem solved.
