While I can configure custom SMTP settings on the free plan, I can’t use my custom email with the Users service on the free plan. See the screenshot below.
If you would consider adding the ability to edit the “from address” on the free plan, at least when the user has set up a custom SMTP setting, I would really love that 
This feature would be used by my open source collaborators who are not bought into Anvil just yet.
