Shift-click multiselect in Components side-panel

Please make Shift-click multiselect work in the side Components panel of the new designer, to provide a quick way to select many components at once.

I had not noticed that the window selection in the designer doesn’t work any longer.

On one hand I want to scream regression, on the other hand, I had not noticed, and it was only working at the top level only anyway (it wasn’t working inside containers), so I guess it isn’t that useful (to me) after all.

Still, I like this request and I would restore the old window selection and improve it.

The ctrl+click on the Components panel already works.

It would be nice to add:

  • shift+click to select a range of components on the Components panel (doesn’t really make sense on the visual editor)
  • ctrl+drag to start a window selection
  • drag followed by ctrl+drop to copy the selected component to the dropped container
