Server runtime failed to start (Black Friday Edition)

Another one of those dreaded threads about the runtime not starting in the Free plan. It happened two weeks ago (had to wait until the next day) and it has been happening today since lunchtime (CET).

There are several threads about this from last year, and a couple from this year. If the infrastructure for paid plans is more reliable, it’s probably incentive enough to start paying.

And it works again, thanks!

Gone again. :unamused: I wonder what’s going on…

Still not working. The error comes up more quickly now, and its text changed to:

Failed to launch server runtime

I just subscribed to the Hobby plan and the runtime is now starting. That was easy!

I just want to chime in and say 4 years ago I was able to build and test most of what I needed to build for my company at the time in around 3-6 months of tinkering without ever having a problem. When I was ready we went live with a bunch of internal facing tools and started a paid plan.
But that was five years ago and the more popular anvil becomes the more popular it becomes with everyone, including bad actors and resource hogs who just want free compute.
So I get it that it stinks when it goes down, but you have it give it up for them even fighting with the rest of the internet to keep it available for free at all.
