Remote | Full-time preferred | 4-6 months, with potential to extend
We’re looking for a senior Anvil developer to build fast, polished, maintainable web applications. While this role has a strong front-end focus, you’ll be expected to deliver full-stack features within Anvil, from interface design to server calls, with production-quality code.
We’re a small, pragmatic team where processes are informal and everyone pitches in to improve how we work. You should be comfortable working independently, making design decisions without everything being fully specced, and writing modular, reusable components that scale across multiple apps. We’re working towards a consolidated platform and a shared component library where your judgment and technical input will help shape both.

- Implement server-side Python logic to support UI behaviour
- Create clean, reusable components and contribute to our shared component library
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings as part of a collaborative dev team (4-5 developers)
- Write maintainable Anvil code that balances flexibility and performance
What we’re looking for
- Extensive experience building real-world apps with Anvil
- Strong design instincts for layout, flow, and usability
- Ability to implement both front-end and server-side logic within Anvil
- Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills for creating custom components beyond Anvil’s built-in offerings
- Clean, modular coding style and good documentation habits
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and collaborative development workflows
- Comfortable working without close supervision and contributing to shared architecture
Bonus points for
- Familiarity with SSO, OIDC, or integrating third-party authentication
- Experience integrating apps into partner ecosystems or platforms
- Comfort with Material Design 3, especially via Anvil templates
- Experience building shared component libraries or design systems
- Interest in scalable design and long-term maintainability
- Background in assessment technology or EdTech
