Security of electronic signatures

Hi all,

In my organization there are many opportunities for automation that depend on first moving from paper forms to electronic forms.

Unfortunately, when a paper form requires a signature, people are often hesitant to move to electronic forms because they feel that electronic signatures are not secure.

I know that Anvil can provide a way of collecting electronic signatures, but does anyone here have any experience convincing staff that electronic signatures are acceptable in terms of security?

In Canada, as far as I can tell, they are legally binding. Further, I have seen the argument that they are just as safe (sometimes safer) than wet signatures (e.g., they can be traced to a time, place, and person, and can be encrypted).

Interested in your opinion as I suspect that I will need to confront this issue very soon.
