[Resoved] Fatal error: Remote server not available (:git\/stop-amending-revision!). Please contact support@anvil.works."

What I’m trying to do:
Access Anvil Apps

What I’ve tried and what’s not working:
Cannot access any anvil apps from main page.

I was making frequent changes to my application when this occurred.
I have had an issue in the past with git remotes out of sync, although this appears to be different and does not just affect one application - it prevents access to all applications.

{“error”:“Remote server not available (:git/stop-amending-revision!). Please contact support@anvil.works.”}

Let me know if anyone has encountered this or if it can be resolved ASAP.

Kind regards,
Grant

Hi @grant.peace

Sorry about this - we had a short (total ~7 min) outage in the part of our infrastructure that hosts app git repositories. Our caching layers meant that many apps continued working during this time if they were not being actively edited, but some with recent edits were unavailable, and new changes could not be committed during that period.

Our monitoring systems worked as they should and woke us up (it’s very much the middle of the night here!), which meant we were able to fix the problem quickly. Tomorrow we will work out exactly what happened, and why the system was not able to recover on its own.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you’re still seeing any residual issues.

Thanks so much for the detailed response.

Everything is now working as expected!
