[Resolved] Anvil down again?

Is Anvil down again?

At around 6:30 UTC Anvil was completely down. Anvil.works didn’t load and none of the apps loaded.
At around 7:00 UTC anvil.works seems to be back online, apps do not load, still.

What could be done to prevent these unexpected events in the future? App server? Dedicated plan?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. When you create something for others and then it fails, you feel a bit foolish for not having any contingency plans.

Local server which will host your Anvil app, then you have full control over your setup and redundancy.

Same here and we are on dedicated plan…

Interesting that even on a dedicated plan you’ve also experienced this outage.

Anvil is currently experiencing a denial-of-service attack affecting all services and apps. We are working to mitigate the problem and will post updates as we have them.

I am still getting ‘anvil.server.RuntimeUnavailableError: Server resources not available for ‘python3-full’. If this error persists for more than a few minutes, please contact support@anvil.works.’ which I guess is related to the DOS attack.
