Apologies for providing a very late update on this. However, this dependency will stop working after 20 June due to the changes by Google FCM.
I will try to make a new version of the dependency before the deadline. However, since they have made things a bit different, it will prove challenging to come up with the same level of simplicity that was previously provided.
