Published link after upgrading Anvil plan

Hello,

I just upgraded to a paid plan. However, my app is already published using a link xx.anvil.app… Now, if I were to change the URL to app.xxx.com… or something, and share the new URL with the current users, this new link will still point to the same app, right?

Hi there @i.rajeshwari, yes that’s right - both links will point to the same app backend. For example, my Fruitmoji app is accessible both as https://fruitmoji.anvil.app and https://www.howpregnantami.com - each address points to the same app underneath and a change a user makes via one web address will be reflected at the other address too.

Hope this helps!

Many thanks Hannah! Is it better to disable the old link? Any best practices related to this?

Glad to help! There’s no extra cost to keeping multiple addresses up, so you don’t need to worry about removing the app.anvil.works link unless you want to. I tend to leave the old link enabled for at least a few weeks in case users have bookmarked it - that way no matter how they access the app they can keep using it easily. When you share your app in future you can point people toward the new custom link.
