Well, I tried it and it doesn’t work.

The save color is defined in an other css file but when I added “!important” to override it but then no color at all was displayed.
Adding the color with “#” however works in standard-page.html .

I can’t quite tell from the description what the problem is
Sorry, the color works but the NAME of the color I used was incorrect.
I inspected it and finally I figured out that I selected the wrong color name.
Because I had no idea why in the theme.css it doesn’t work.
So, it actually works!
(The actual color used was with high, 0.8 transparency, so, it was pretty much invisible on white background.)
