Not automatically switching branch after merging changes

Hi guys,

Everytime I merge changes to the master branch, Anvil also switches to this branch. There is no warning or notification that this happens.

Question, is it an option to make it possible to:

  • not switch branch automatically or
  • prevent a branch from being edited (f.i. by locking it)?

There is no option to avoid that.
I don’t like it either.

Ah thanks Stefano, you already requested it. Maybe we can convince the people at Anvil.works HQ to create one of the options proposed by you and me? :smile:

Btw, did Anvil respond to your request in a PM maybe? I don’t see a response from them in your topic.

I’m sure the Anvil staff is aware about my opinion on this matter, but I don’t know their long term plans with the branch management and if the changes I requested will fit in those plans. I like to think that they will address the problem before getting out of beta. We will see…
