Login with Facebook: App not active

Hello Friends:

I hope everyone is well. :blush:

Until today, I never enabled the Login with Facebook option (relying only on Login with Google), and therefore never had the opportunity to see the following notification when attempting to.

App not active This app is not accessible right now and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated.

Just in case the above text isn’t indicative of what’s actually going on, am I doing something incorrect or is that App in fact not active and I simply need to wait until it resolves.

Hi @nmvega,

You’re probably getting that error because you haven’t set up the Facebook Service or created a Facebook app, which are needed to enable Facebook sign-in. Take a look at our docs for a step-by-step guide on how to do this: Anvil Docs | Connecting Facebook to Anvil

Hello, Patricia.

After so many tries using the prescribed steps, I am never able to get thru to the point of seeing the “Add a Product” frame. I hate being spoon-fed but I have come to the point of just about giving up. It’s just that Facebook is so widespread that ignoring it would be an egregious mistake.

Possible to request? Could Anvil create a demo tutorial that goes all the way thru to the point that a user could log-in to an Anvil app using Facebook account? Sorry but the current tutorial is not enough (for me) to get it done.
