Dear Anvil team, I’m still having this issue and it is stopping me in my tracks. Can someone please let me know what I can do? Thank you!
What have you tried so far?
Hi Phil,
I don’t really know what to try other than clicking the + button and trying to add a new field. Is there any other way to add fields I can try?
The refreshing symbol rotates in the top left until after a while I get this error and the field is not added :S
You can try again after:
Are any of these going to help in this case? It doesn’t seem likely with a Server Error. On the other hand, browsers do get screwed up from time to time, and in that case yours might be miscommunicating your intent to the Server, causing it to fail in some way.
If any of these steps does work, then you’re back up and running again instead of waiting.
I’ve now done those steps and it didn’t help, but thanks for the tips!
Hi @davidtopf2 .
Have you tried by any chance creating another column of any other name? If you can, try creating it and then try to change it to the name you want. If you can create, but can’t rename, this name is probably reserved or something like that.
Also, try creating the same column in another table (preferably a new table just for this test). If you can, then maybe there was an error while trying to create the column the first time and now the columns existis, but is not visible and trying to create it again results the error. In that case you should ask for help in the customer support.
Update on this from Stu:
ok - magically I was able to add those columns
I tried, and got the same error.
Then I refreshed the page, did something else in another tab, expecting it to fail, but when I looked back a bit later, the column was added.
I added previously_downloaded, and last_updated.
