We’re more less betting our company on Anvil’s tech stack (as we’re leveraging it for a key tool in our workflow). I would love to hear how Anvil the company is doing from a business perspective. It would probably make a great blog post with growth stats, financials (if open to sharing), lessons learned, etc.
For obvious reasons, we’re not going to disclose financial information and user data on a public forum, but we did our 2019-in-review only last week and I can confirm that:
Both Anvil customers (hey!) and free users (howdy - we love you too!) have increased hugely over the last year. (This won’t be a surprise to anyone watching these forums. Big shout-out to our moderators for helping us keep this place friendly and helpful as it grows!)
Anvil-the-company is comfortably profitable. (Something you might not know: We’ve never taken VC money, so we are entirely funded by happy customers! This is, among other things, a very sustainable funding source )
We have some awesome plans for 2020 that we can’t wait to show you…
(I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that, for customers who require contractual guarantees of continuity, we offer both binary and source-code escrow as options on support contracts or on the Dedicated plan and above! If you’re interested in this, drop us a line at support@anvil.works.)
This is awesome news- Thank you Meredydd. Jeff is not the only one relying on Anvil because your team enables us to do stuff way faster and easier than having to hire a web developer full-time. I confess I had the same concern but am very happy to hear things are going so well. Many thanks again for the great product & support.
Thank you for the response and update! I wasn’t aware of the continuity options that you provide–that’s reassuring. Just for the record, I didn’t have any doubts about Anvil at all–was hoping that you would be able to post such great news! Keep up the great work Team!
