How to use HTML in anvil

I was wondering if I could design my anvil site using html and css. I find the inbuilt components buggy and limiting but I really like the way the backed is done. So I was wondering if I could design the front end using html and css then use python for the rest.

Then you use this when creating a new app, and add your html to assets or use other methods to insert your html:
