How can I see a button icon in the IDE's pulldown?

What I’m trying to do:
See the icon image in the IDE’s icon menu. I get the names, but not the images. To choose what I want to convey to users, I use the images, not the names.

What I’ve tried and what’s not working:

  • Refreshing and updating Chrome.
  • Refreshing the IDE
  • Switching to Edge
  • Switching to Firefox
  • Switching to Opera
  • Starting a brand new Material Design App.

Yes, it happens on a brand-new App. So it probably needs the attention of an Anvil tech.

This might be an opportunity to address ease-of-use. Given the very large number of icons available, it would be much quicker to pick from a dense grid of icons, than from a vertical one-icon-per-row list that requires minutes to scroll through (at a pace where one can actually see each icon clearly).

moved to bug reports, we’ll get that fixed.

for a better overview of the icons, going directly to fontawesome v4 is often useful

Thanks for having a look at that!

The Font Awesome link works really well, too, thanks. I set magnification to 200% or more to get a reasonable look.

It’s a pity that they don’t simply grid the icons by themselves. The icon’s name is occasionally relevant – after you pick it for its looks – but until then, the space is better used for putting the icon in its visual context: i.e., the other icons.

Just like we do for the emoticon menu here.

@p.colbert did you notice the new grid view?
