I have some long running background tasks that should run for 50 minutes each. I am seeing them running for the last 2 hours or so.
There are mixed integer optimization programs, so run times are not exactly predictable. I do have soft cutoffs, but they don’t seem to be working.
Anyway, is it possible that background tasks get slowed down for any other reason, e.g. overconsumption of resources?

Maybe there is a total compute allocated to each user/account. I killed one job and the other finished right away. Running a single job takes about 50min, if by iteself
