Thinking of some sort of python API to read, write, and manipulate the anvil IDE, and autogenerate code.
For example this post, which I wrote, could in theory be accomplished with an anvil IDE plugin.

Of course many other non officially supported features could be coded in.
It has the added benefit to let the community work on features that serve a smaller percentage of anvil users, or that the staff doesn’t want to officially support for whatever reason.
It allows the community to prototype features which could then theoretically be taken up by anvil staff if its well developed enough.
It would also allow feature requests to be accompanied by a prototype of the feature by sharing a plugin link, or an app that utilizes the prototype for the plugin.
