I’m trying to work through the video merydydd put on youtube titled “receiving email with python in anvil”

Does this require an individual plan ?

created a new app , added a servermodule , published it , with this code :

@anvil.email.handle_message
def new_message(msg):
do_something()

peculiar thing is i get a message on servermodule editor screen (at bottom) that says:
This app will receive emails sent to anything@ ( without the published domain )

which i believe is why it doesn’t work , on the youtube video it shows anything@disposable-email.anvilapp.net

I presume you have the email service enabled?

If you open the email service settings does it show you what your valid domains are?

Also, to make your post easier to read, you can format your code using the code format button in the toolbar of the post text area or surrounding the code in reverse quotation marks (`) or selecting the code and pressing control + E.

Yes

apparently the anything@ (without domain showing) does not indicate anything is broken, i think
i broke it by renaming the 'Default Environment; under Publish dialog. All better now !!
