Announcing Two-Factor Authentication

Hi everyone,

A short and sweet announcement to bring even more cheer to your Friday afternoon: Anvil now supports two-factor authentication for developers. This means that you can further secure your Anvil account, keeping all that data in your source code and Data Tables safely hidden away. To get started, you’ll need to log in to Anvil with an email address and password (not with Google, which you can already protect with two-factor auth), then visit your account settings:

In your account settings, choose “Authentication”, confirm your password, and enable Two Factor Authentication. It’s that simple! You’ll need to use an app like Google Authenticator (for Android or iPhone) to generate verification codes when you log in.

We’re going to be adding two-factor support to the built-in Users Service soon, but in the meantime we appreciate feedback and suggestions, so please do get in touch and let us know what you think!
