By day, I am a technical leader at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. My team look at ways to get data from manufacturing assets (mainly machine tools) using sensors and the control systems.
By night (evenings mostly, I’m too tired at night), I like to apply the same approach to my greenhouse - a Digital Gardener if you will. I don’t have time to learn how to use web technologies unfortunately, but Anvil has come to the rescue to allow me to get the websites I want quickly and easily, and all is Python.
