What happens if anvil closes?

I don’t expect that to happen anytime soon. This was the answer to a similar question a few years back.

• Is there any danger to Anvil the company from a financial stand-point?

We don’t share financial data in public, and it feels like bad taste to crow in public right now about how well we’re doing, when so many people are suffering, but we are currently growing faster than ever, so…No. Just…No.

I also have trust that they would do right by us if something ever did happen, open-sourcing the rest. But that’s just my feeling, to be clear.

To be clear, we do offer robust contractual continuity protection (via escrow) for customers who need legally guaranteed access to (eg) the Anvil Editor in case a meteor hits Cambridge.
