Here are a few little improvements I would like to see on the app browser:
- Set the focus to the Search box when it opens
- Add button to see the log
- Add button to run the app in another tab
- Add button to share the app. This could be either three independent buttons or one that shows all the options from the “Publish app” dialog, the “Share app” dialog and the “Share with my team” button
- Allow to organize the apps in folders / categories / whatever
There’s always a UI tradeoff between convenience for the expert user, and comprehension (simplicity, discoverability) for the novice user. This would certainly be good for the expert.
I’m reluctant to recommend an “expert mode”, as that complicates the documentation, for everyone. However, the refinement below might accommodate everyone.
Including the novice, a whole slew of options might appear after the name, including things that neither you nor I might think of. To accommodate such an open-ended set, a pop-up menu, with [Menu] pushbutton, might be appropriate.
