Two simple pieces of code that have worked flawlessly for months are now timing out:
the first is: an http.request to an address that I just checked by hand and comes up instantly. The second is a simple datatable search…

Same here. I’m getting “anvil.server.TimeoutError: Server code took too long” on all my apps the first time they try to do an anvil.server.call().

And apparently it’s been down for at least an hour now…

Thanks very much for letting us know about this. It was an issue affecting a small number of users on the Free plan, and it should now be resolved. Please let us know if you continue to see the problem!

I think this may have happened a few times over the past couple weeks, but being new to Anvil I just blamed myself and tore apart my code until it started working again. In all those instances code that had been working the previous day mysteriously gave me a blank page the next day. It wasn’t until I started running my own app server that I could quickly do an A/B check against the anvil.works hosted app.

Ah well, a small price to pay for Free :wink:
